• Matt started hairdressing in 1990 working with his father in the family business, after attending Mark Young School of Hairdressing. He continued his education direct with l'Oreal HQ in Kensington and decided to specialise in colour.
  
  After his father's death in 1996 he took over the family business and decided to pick the scissors back up, refreshed his skills with L'Oreal and their advanced cutting team, a practice he tries to repeat each year. Last year he attended Wella H Q and completed a 'long hair' course with renowned hairdresser Patrick Cameron.
• Matt was recently asked to sit as a judge at the Hairdressing Students Competition in Bournemouth
  
  Outside work Matt has a wife and two boys. He also finds time for local amateur theatre as a performer and spectator and still manages to get in some training for my annual ski holiday!

• Hi I'm Mia, one of the salon directors. I have been working at Tony's for since 1988! How long I know, not good with change. I have actually been hairdressing since 1983 - took me a while to get the hang of it, but think i've cracked it and I'm rather partialled to a bit of backcombing here and there if the mood takes me. Gents beware!
  
  Like to think of myself with a sunny disposition and they do say it's the thought that counts. Love working with Matthew he makes me laugh, not sure if this is a good or bad thing and the rest of the staff are great ,especially my best friend Sally.
  Would really like to work with children and find the solution to world peace but until then you'll find me at 281 Lymington Road .

• Sally has been at tony hair since 1997. She trained at Bournemouth college for two years and then at Mark Young for year three. She has numerous diplomas for colour and cutting as well as long hair work which she received at the L'Oreal technical centres in London and Bristol. She enjoys the variety of her work and looks forward to the new styles off the cat walk next season.

• Erica has been with us since the very beginning and has 30 years of experience and still remains at the cutting edge of styling. She specializes in long hair and bridal work. Erica is also Matthew's sister.

• Chantelle is one of our senior stylists and has been with tony hair since 2002, she began as a Saturday girl for a year and then after completing her GCSE's she went on to do an apprenticeship at Bournemouth college. Chantelle is now studying with l'Oreal to become the first l'Oreal colour specialist in the area.

• Emily graduated as a fully qualified hairdresser in July 2005. She also gained a diploma in cutting, colouring and colour correction at L'Oreal Technical Centre London.

• Georgina is Matthew's wife and one of our newly qualified stylists.
  

• Theresa is one of our full time stylists.

• Jade and Emma are our newly qualified stylists

• They are our new hairdressing assistants.
